Helicopter Expo 2010

I figured I would let you all in on what I have been doing for the past month. It consists of one thing... A Helicopter Expo! Many of you may be thinking what?? and that was exactly what I thinking when I got a phone call to come help, but what else better did I have to do..So the 1st of February I headed to Dallas, TX to learn as much about helicopters as I could, learn as much French AND German as I could in a 2 weeks ( Oh yes I tried and failed) do press conferences and prepare for the biggest Helicopter Expo there is.. HAI. HAI stands for Helicopter Association International ( that's where the French and German came into play). HAI is hosted all over the world and this year it was hosted in Houston, TX so Eurocopter invited me to assist with this HUGE event, I thought I would be setting up a little booth and talking to a few people. Ha HARDLY when I finally made my way to my office and opened the computer all the information I needed started right up. Um.. little booth HARDLY my ideas of flowers cookies and everything out the window. Budget.. in the millions ( yeah i had to count the zero's!) I was WAY out of my element. Needless to say i eventually figured everything out, learned a little a bit about Helicopters and did meet alot of incredible people.
A few of the pictures from the booth.. The theme was "Bluecopter" thats why everything is blue.

While in Dallas I didn't have alot of free time.. I had one free weekend, that so happened to be the weekend of Valentines Day. Alot of surprises came with that :) So with not being able to plan ahead it was spent at the Mall and a few other tourist"y" things! Didn't take but a few pictures..

Texas Rangers Stadium

AKA... What could have been.. and what almost was..

And then we went to see what could be...... Dallas Cowboys Stadium!

haha and Six Flags.. Also, while in Dallas the weatherman decided that SNOW might be fun. I like Mississippi snow that sometimes sticks.. sometimes doesn't, might get an inch or so..NAH 14 inches in Dallas and to my surprise I still had to go to work, slipping and sliding... they don't teach you how to drive in snow in Drivers Ed ( at least in MS). Yeah.. not a fan! Especially when it took me 2 hours to get home. ( I stayed not even a mile from work)

I loved Houston!! View from my room and just a few of the people I got the pleasure to work with.

Houston Convention Center
Downtown Houston and where the Astro's play. Me and Oliaf ( from Germany)

And since I spent the whole month in Dallas and a week in Houston I didn't get to go to the NFL combine. BUT it went VERY well!! I would share with you all the details but I don't understand them enough to go into all of that.. you know all the official -40 times, arm spread and vertical jumps? As stated before everything went well and the MSU boys did good as well, or I have been told!! They have PRO day coming up in a couple of weeks which I am planning on attending so hopefully I will be able to give you more details and pictures :)

And last but not least... finally getting back to Starkville does have its advantages.. GIRLS NIGHT! Its been a while since I had seen Kristin and some other of our friends so we decided a good girls night was in store.

Until next time...
